Sugar and spice and everything nice – this long forgotten phrase from the old nursery rhyme came to mind when we first laid eyes on the drawings of Katy Lipscomb. This vivacious artist has enthralled us with her beautiful interplay of bright colors.
Her drawings possess that rare quality that can induce cheerfulness in the viewer by merely glancing at it. The relatively simple subjects of her art, which is predominantly occupied by a myriad of wolf renderings, are lent an exceptional uniqueness by virtue of Ms. Lipscomb’s signature style.
